Dilmurod Quronov Awarded the Commemorative Badge “30 Years of Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan”

By the relevant decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Dilmurod Quronov, Professor at Andijan State University and Doctor of Philological Sciences, has been awarded the commemorative badge “30 Years of Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

The scholar has been engaged in research and teaching for 35 years.

Dilmurod Quronov is the author of more than 100 scholarly works, including two textbooks, three monographs, three study guides and a dictionary. He has published more than 80 scholarly articles on questions of Uzbek literary studies in the national press.

The “Adabiyotshunoslik lugʻati” (Dictionary of Literary Studies), published under his general editorship and co-authorship, serves as the principal dictionary in the field of literary studies.

He prepared for publication the second volume of Abdulhamid Cholpon’s three-volume collected works and led the group that prepared and published Cholpon’s works in four volumes.

Thanks to D. Quronov’s efforts, five books have been published since 2018 in the series “Andijon ijodkorlari merosidan” (From the Legacy of Andijan Writers) under his general editorship. Between 2010 and 2019 he published the books “Adabiy jarayonda ‘Mom sindromi’” (The ‘Mom Sindromi’ in the Literary Process), “Mutolaa va idrok mashqlari” (Exercises in Reading and Perception), “Zavqimdan bir shingil” (A Morsel of Delight), “Talqin imkonlari” (The Possibilities of Interpretation), “Adabiy oʻylar” (Literary Reflections), “Nazariy qaydlar” (Theoretical Notes) and “Adabiyot va b. haqida” (On Literature, etc.).

Dilmurod Quronov is also active as a translator: in the study guide and reader “Gʻarb adabiy-tanqidiy tafakkuri tarixi ocherklari” (Essays on the History of Western Literary-Critical Thought), the works of some fifteen scholars appear in his translation.

Under D. Quronov’s supervision, one Candidate of Sciences, four Doctors of Philosophy and two Doctors of Sciences have been trained.

In 2009 Dilmurod Quronov founded the periodical “Ilmiy xabarnoma – Nauchnyy vestnik” (Scientific Bulletin), and for more than ten years he has served as its editor-in-chief.
